Teaching Portfolio

I have taught literature, film, theory, and composition courses. I teach a wide variety of composition, first-year critical thinking seminars, and second-year global topics seminars in the general education curriculum; survey, genre, and period courses in the major; and seminars in the graduate program. I have directed independent studies, BA theses, and MA theses. I have taught lecture classes of 50 students and graduate seminars of six students and a plethora of class types in between. I have taught in the the traditional classroom and the computer-supported classroom. I have taught diverse populations. I have taught at both research universities and liberal arts colleges. This portfolio provides information about my employment history, my teaching philosophy, and my courses, syllabi, and assignments.
